Ayurveda is one of the oldest and most comprehensive systems of medicine, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. It is a highly systematic approach that draws from nature’s vast resources like plants, minerals, oils, and other natural substances. All to support the body’s natural intelligence.
This knowledge has been passed down through observation, practice, and tradition. Women crafted their own beauty and healing tools with the same care, intention, and seasonality they used in preparing food. Every ingredient was chosen for its ability to heal and restore.
We follow this timeless approach, selecting ingredients known in Ayurveda for their ability to soothe, protect, and restore. Not just because they’re natural, but because they’ve been trusted for centuries to bring balance and vitality.

We work slowly, in small batches, using hand-sourced ingredients grown with care and transparency. Each ingredient can be traced directly to the farmer through a barcode on every product. Every single ingredient also goes through IISER Mohali, one of the biggest and most reputable testing labs in India.
We know all of our farmers personally, which means every ingredient is harvested with respect for both the land and its people. Each ingredient is chosen not only for its natural purity but for its specific purpose. To nourish, protect, and restore.

The Makeup Pantry is a Vancouver based sub-brand of the Cosmetics Foundation of BC, a nonprofit dedicated to research informed education on cosmetics and personal care. Our team of makers, educators, and wellness enthusiasts creates every product with care and intention, inspired by the foundation’s mission to promote transparency, critical thinking, and informed choices for consumers.
